Privacy Policy
Revised on May 23, 2026
Iristorm Design (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates this website, MTG Carpenter (“Carpenter”), located at mtgcarpenter.com. This document explains what data can be collected through Carpenter and how we use it.
By using Carpenter, you accept this whole privacy policy and the terms of service. If you do not accept, then do not use this website.
First-Party Data Use
To be able to function as intended, Carpenter must preserve data on users’ custom decks and app preferences. This data is contained only in each user’s web browser on his or her computer or mobile device. This data is never uploaded to a web server, and thus cannot be accessed by us or anyone else over the Internet. The Web APIs used for this data storage are IndexedDB and sessionStorage.
Carpenter sends limited diagnostic logs to our web server. These include technical error codes, and users’ text in card list entry forms that were rejected. We may inspect these logs to improve Carpenter’s ability to prevent similar errors from occurring.
Third-Party Data Use
Carpenter uses Cloudflare, a content delivery network that enhances website performance and security. Cloudflare may process technical request data such as IP address, browser and device metadata, and security event information. Cloudflare manages user data under its own privacy policy.
Carpenter uses Google Analytics, a service that helps us understand how people interact with this website. Analytics collects data including the pages viewed, approximate time spent on pages, number of times certain app actions occur, browser and device metadata, referral information, and approximate IP-based location information. No Analytics data about users is personally identifiable. Google manages user data under its own privacy policy.
Carpenter retrieves data and images of Magic cards by connecting to Scryfall’s card database via the Scryfall API. Scryfall manages user data under its own privacy policy.
Carpenter is affiliated with the online marketplace TCGplayer. Carpenter links to pages on TCGplayer’s website and can send users’ deck information to TCGplayer. TCGplayer manages user data under its own privacy policy.
Revisions
This privacy policy is subject to revision. The current revision has been effective since it was published, indicated by the date at the top of this document. This privacy policy will remain effective until a newer revision is published. Notice of revision may be posted on Carpenter’s Release Notes page. By continuing to use Carpenter after revision, you accept the revised policy.
